SREC is an acronym for Solar Renewable Energy Certificate. These certificates are traded on the environmental market by utilities to fulfill each States Renewable Portfolio Standard requirements. SRECs are one more reason for Ohio residents to go solar. Basically, for each Megawatt your solar system produces, you could potentially sell one SREC for $225 and up, depending on the method you chose to sell your SRECs.
